I don't have my PAR any more (using Broadcaster now) but if I
remember correctly the PAR software can export in a native
format. So use that format and move them to a regular partition,
then reimport them as an animation. I think you can do all this from
the PAR software's interface. This should avoid decompression
and recompression quality loss.

ImageFX 2.1 will load and save PAR images, but you do go through
a decompression/recompression step when you do this. On the other
hand you get access to a lot of image processing and effects. But
I don't know of any program that's really geared toward _editing_
that will let you play with PAR files directly.
If you really are tending toward complex editing, you might want
to move to a Flyer or Broadcaster (if you're using an Amiga).
If you're mostly doing anim layback, viewing and rotoscoping, the PAR
still offers the best integration with LightWave on the Amiga.
